Letter to You, My Beloved Homie

You are an incredible person.

You are an incredible being.

You are an incredible soul.

I hope you read this and smile inside and out.

I have told myself this before and I tell myself this again.

And again and again and again and again and again.

Because it continues to be true.

Now and now and now and now and now and now.

And now.

And again.

Sometimes it’s the only thing that I feel like I get, and even that, feels loose and faint at times.

There’s no magic pill.

There’s no fairy godmother.

We simply choose and keep choosing.

Because to do otherwise is blasphemous to our true nature.

And ultimately, we could never betray ourselves.

When we try, due to delusions and illusions and misperceptions and misbeliefs, life tells us through pain and suffering.

Then we always aim for higher ground, for relief, for peace.

Sometimes we get it, sometimes we don’t.

And still we choose.

Now and again.

Because we always have the choice.

We always have free reign to choose who we think, feel, believe we are.

Scary and also thank god.

Because then at least all the shitty things I’ve believed about myself could just be all fake, unfounded, illegitimate.

And I was just trippin.

So, today, I tell you -

You are incredible.

You are loved.

You are wonderful.

You are badass.

You are truth in human form.

I love you.
