Big-headed Me lol

Recently, a few things I’m proud of popped into my head.

  • Choosing to study abroad my second to last year in college when I was a super duper senior. I had never been out of the country until then but I somehow (I still don’t know how) I gathered the funds to pay for a program and a flight and lived in another country, traveling along the way for 4 months. I still don’t know where I found that umph and headstrong-ness to make it happen. And it, to this day, is one of my milestones of growth and experience beyond the States.
  • Investing in myself, enrolling in programs and courses that interest me, learning from people I admire and respect. I have invested more money in my personal education (not college) than in anything else in my life. They vary from online marketing to Reiki master-teacher training to Spiritual Psychology to entrepreneurial programs to investing. Some I haven’t finished, others I have. Not all of them appear to leave an impression in my life today, but I’m more proud that anytime I feel drawn to something, I take the chance on myself.
  • Doing things my way, wreaking havoc on my parents lol, thinking for myself, which resulted in leaving church, exploring my beliefs, integrating them into all parts of my life, attracting a partner I never would have looked at twice a few years ago, standing by them as they explore and express themselves as non-binary (what even was that from a traditional Christian perspective? Lol), and so on.

Sometimes I get down on myself and feel like I haven’t done ‘enough’ in life, no accolades, accomplishments, etc.

But when I review my journey, I see how I quietly, steadily, consistently built my life and relationship with myself and God, and became the exact person I wanted to be since I was a child.

I don’t have material things (I mean, I have some lol) to show the world — just my integrity with myself, my faith in the unseen, and my trust in the unknown.

Oh, and I’m proud that I can balance on my elbows long enough for a photo to be taken lol.

I’m very curious — off the top of your head, what are you proud of?
